Step 1: Forum Agreement
These forums are for discussing gaming activities and the events associated with such activities. These guidelines are posted only to bring clarification on some issues where there have been questions in the past. It is our desire to provide an environment that is conducive to discussions about gaming activities. We are posting these guidelines so that all participants of this interactive community understand what is considered unacceptable behavior in the forums and can result in a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.
While Using these forums, you must respect the rights of others and their rights to use and enjoy these forums. To this end, you may not defraud, harass, threaten, or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other users.
You may not post or communicate any player's real world information (name, address, account name, etc.) through these forums.
You may not use sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language.
You may not post, link or upload any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive imagery or content.
You may not post messages that may and can violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
You may not spam, flood, or make duplicate posts on these forums.
You may not impersonate any Linkshells.org Administrator or Moderator.
You may not engage in personal attacks, specifically any text/post that is blatantly attacking another person on or off the forum, especially in a personal way.
You may not engage in trolling behavior on the forums. Trolling is whenever someone is clearly, deliberately posting in a manner for the purpose of angering and/or insulting the other participants of the Community.
You may not post Private Messages recieved from another user on the forums. Private Messages received on these forums are to be considered private and are not to be posted publicly unless the sender of the private message agrees.
You may not advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying, selling, trading, sharing, or transferring accounts, gil and items for cash. Real Money Trade (RMT) is strictly prohibited.
You may not circumvent the censor filter. Deliberately circumventing the censor filter is strictly prohibited.
You may not organize nor be a member of any pledges or groups that are based on or espouse any racist, sexist, anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-gay, or other hatemongering philosophies.
You may not upload or transmit on the forums any copyrighted content that you do not own all rights to without the express written permission of the author or copyright holder.
You will not attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any transmissions to or from the Linkshell.org server.
You may not market, promote, advertise, or solicit on the forums, including but not limited to Chain letters, pyramid schemes, SPAM, virus warnings and solicitations. Do not post announcements about you or your company's products, or other services, or otherwise use the interactive community to bring attention to your product, business or other service, in a manner that could be even loosely construed as promotion or advertising.
All forums have a main topic. When starting a new thread, make sure you do so in the proper forum. Off Topic threads are not prohibited, but should be posted in the appropriate forums. There are some topics that are not appropriate for the Community. All posts are subject to these rules.
Not responding to or ignoring moderator warnings can lead to suspension.
You may not discuss bans and warnings on the forums. Any inquiries or comments or bans are to be sent in private messages or via email. A moderator may choose to publicly inform the participants of a forum about bans and warnings if this is in the interest of the forum.
Unsolvable problems (including bannings) a participant has with a moderator are to be discussed with the Linkshells.org Administrators and Moderators.
