Okay, I've got a question.  I've been leveling leathercraft so I can make traders / barons gear, but I've got a basic question about +1's and crafts requiring more than one skill.  Currently, I'm 53 cloth and 18 leather and if I want to make Baron's gear, is it better to get leather synth support or cloth?

Basically, is it better to be 15 levels over on the main, and 2 over on the sub, or 16 over on the main and 1 over on the sub?  I'm probably going to put some more levels into leather before I try, but I want to optimize HQ's on it and wasn't sure what people thought about synth support on recipes with sub skill requirements.  Any response would be great.  Thanks.

I do not think it matters. I think you need at least +31 points above the cap for noticing any differences in HQ frequency. Not sure how that works together with a sub-craft though, ie. do you need +31 there as well for it to work or not.

Okay, I figured I'd mention this in case anyone else was wondering, but I found out the answer to my own post since the original message.  To HQ something with a sub the sub has to be the same gap above the recipe to get the HQ at the expected rate.  If its a 30 cloth / 10 leather and you want to HQ 1/4 (neglecting moon phase and whatnot) then you have to be 61 cloth / 41 leather (per standard gap information that floats out there).  If you have a sub that's barely over the recipe, don't expect an HQ.
