After waking up in her rented Mog House in Jeuno Kimra gets dressed,
grabs her gear and says goodbye to her Moogle. Heading down the
path to Lower Jeuno she starts hearing the familar calls through the
streets.    "Teleport-Mea can I have it please. I
will pay you 1000 gil for this service." "Do you have x item I am
interested in buying it if you have it." Then she hears the
shouts of a practice that makes her blood run cold. "Kindred Seal
30 Atropos Orb fight do you need it. Sit back and watch us do the
work. You keep 60% of the profits. All you have to do is
start the battle." Kimra hears people shouting for help with
various items only to hear responses of "How much you willing to
pay." After a short while Kimra can take no more. She turns
around and heads to Upper Jeuno. The shouts die down but can
still be heard even up here but Kimra's blood is on fire. She
runs through Upper jeuno and heads to Batilla Downs. Armed with
her meat hooks she runs up to then nearest Goblin and proceeds to pound
it into the ground. She finds another and another but, the rage
is still there. Kimra catches her breath for a moment and then
decides to partake in her favorite pastime. Heading south in
Batilla Downs she goes down towards Eldieme Necropolis. Her
mission is to pound the unholy things there into nothingness.�

Going into the darkness she heads down the stairs and is immediatly
seiged upon by creatures wanting her destruction. Kimra is ready
for them and readies her Patas. Slamming her fists against the
unholy things they crumble quickly to dust beneath her relentless
assault. Only stopping for a moment she heads down even deeper,
knowing that it may be a bad idea. She doesnt care though.
Her rage will see her through. After heading down a path she sees
her prey and studies it. "Oh this one could could be a
challenge. I can only hope," she thinks to herself. After
focusing her mind she sets off and begins to attack the fiend.
The battle is intense. The skelletons club and shield are a good
match angainst Kimra's fists. The skelleton raises its arms as a
black nosious cloud spews forth, blinding the mithra. Kimra knows
that the skelleton is out there, the club marks she is recieving is
proof of that. Calling on her powers of insight she begins to
dodge the attacks. Soon the cloud is gone though the effects are
still lingereing. Kimra once again focuses and feels better
immediatly. Soon there is another skeleton comming down the
path. Kimra is thinking to herself "Don't see us. Please
don't see us." The skeleton notices this distraction and lands a
vicious hit. This draws in the the other skeleton. Kimra
stops to grab the pearl that is sitting in her belt. She grabs
ahold of it and continues to fight. Kimra focuses her might and
unleashes a powerful five hit combo against the original skeleton,
blowing him to dust. Kimra then faces her new advasary. As
this skeleton and Kimra continue to fight the pearl in her hand grows
hot and Kimra squeezes it tightly. Soon a familiar voice can be
heard "Kimra are you down here?   I felt the need to come
here and...." Looking around the corner Sahyu sees her friend in
trouble. Taking her scythe off her back she rushes in at the
skeleton. "Good timing," Kimra said, "Another few minutes and I'd
really be in trouble." "no problem, I was in the neighborhood and
thought you might need me" Sahyu laughed. Sahyu then began
casting some powerful curative magic on Kimra while Kimra focused her
mind and the rage began to flow. Kimra remembered why she was
down here. To imagine all those stupid mercinaries faces and what they were doing to the younger players. Kimra's fists become a blur and the skeleton
is hard pressed to defend the assault. Kimra's rage kept going as
she landed both kicks and punches in a seemingly endless barrage.
After a while Kimra reared back her fist and put all of her hatred into
it and slammed it against the skeletons skull. The skull blew
apart and the rest of the body crumpled to the ground. Sahyu
looked on in amazment. "Wow you must be really upset over
something." With sweat pouring off her face Kimra said "Yeah
I was." Kimra then proceeds to tell her friend what got her
all worked up. "I just can't stand it. These people have
had to have help getting to the point where they are now. Why
can't they just help other people out as well? Why do they think
that because they have gotten so high that they are so much better than
us? Did they not recieve help from people along the way?"
Sahyu just nodded and agreed, knowing that to contradict Kimra when she
was like this was to be on the recieveing end of some very harsh
words. "one day," says Kimra, "I'm going to start my own
mercinary guild and we are going to do lots of things for people if
they want it. For no cost. If the person wants our help all
they have to do is participate. That will be payment
enough. The look on their face when they get their item will be
worth more than all the damn gil in the world."   "All I need
is a few more levels and a few people who think the same way I
do." Two faces immediatly come to Kimra. One is her kindred
sister Lilitani and the other is her good friend who sees the point of
having a lot of different skills, her Elvaan friend Dameon. "I
know they will help me out. Hopefully I can find a few more
non-greedy souls who just want to help others and damn any
reward." "Well how do you plan on paying for all this?" questions
Sahyu. "Well these beastman seals can always be gotten,
sure it may take a while but I can get enough of them to do my own runs
with my friends. Kindred seals are a little harded but
nonetheless infinite. Plus I can mine or continue my
crafting. I don't need to charge people who want help for items
that are useful to them and their success in this world when there are
more nobler and better ways to do it."�

After talking about life and their adventures the friends go their
separate ways.   Kimra heads back up the stairs and thinks to
herself, "I will never accept money to help other out. I will
never be in a Linkshell that takes money for helping others. I
will do all I can to make sure everyone has a good adventuring
life. This is my vow and my promise to myself and I will not
break it no matter what." Kimra heads out into Batilla Downs and
heads towards Jeuno. Her resolve fiercer than ever. Comming
to the gates she looks back over the plains and heads into Jueno.

It takes a blind eye to not see the moral of this story. Being a high level carries the responsiblity of helping those who can't help themselves. This is the circle of life in the game. This is a social game, and it is designed to accomplish missions and quests with others, usually by members that can do it easily for those who dont have the means to do it alone. For all those people who remain silent when there are calls for help, remember when you were the "Noob", and if u dont remember, that means you probably still are.�

I really agree with you. I know im still noobish, but i do what i can to help other people, such as wandering around valkurm casting random Raises. I really want to get high enough to be able to help people more. Once i do, ill be sure to repay everyone who has helped me, on the linkshell and off. Really good story and as Dameon said, message is really clear. /cheer
